The Farmers Market is Back!

March 26, 2014 in National Real Estate

Now that Spring has Sprung, the Boulder County’s Farmers Market is about to start up again! It is the largest and friendliest farmers’ market in Colorado! The Boulder County Farmers’ Markets take pride in bringing you locally grown vegetables, meats, fruits, flowers, plants, gourmet cheeses and wines sold by the farmers that produce them. While you’re purchasing your fresh vegetables and fruits (many of them organically grown) enjoy a tasty pastry from a local bakery or a meal created by local chefs.

The Boulder Farmers’ Market Saturday season runs every Saturday beginning the first Saturday in April through the fourth Saturday in November,  8 a.m to 2 p.m.

As some of you may have noticed there has been lots of construction going on around Pearl St. A lot of us have been curious on whats being built etc. The city will be installing many new things, read below on what is getting installed:

  • a raised pedestrian crossing and curb extensions at the intersection of 10th and Pearl streets;
  • a curb extension at the southwest corner of the intersection of 9th and Pearl streets;
  • wider sidewalks for improved pedestrian movement and additional patio seating;
  • kiosks and way finding elements (totems) to establish a sense of direction and place on the “West End;”
  • new bus stops on eastbound and westbound Pearl Street;
  • new street trees, grates and irrigation systems;
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sidewalk access improvements; and
  • other sidewalk amenities and pedestrian enhancements between 7th and 11th streets.
