Why do I love this place? For over 100 years, Boulder and surrounding cities of Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, and Erie, have placed a high value on ‘livability’. Everyone feels like they are lucky to live here. Open spaces and mountain parks, kept permanently free from development, ring our cities. Our mountain air is clean. Dozens of kid-friendly neighborhood parks and miles of bike paths dot this college town. More people with advanced college degrees live here (per capita) than any other town in the U.S. A thriving business district centered around the Pearl Street Mall is filled with people, creative restaurants and shops, and commands the highest commercial rental rates of any pedestrian mall in the world. It also happens to be bordered by a beautiful mountain stream. Boulder supports hi-tech businesses, advanced education, robust outdoor lifestyles, natural food, ecological sustainability, and much more. My ‘home town’ is a safe, open, clean, fit, and incredibly prosperous community where people with innovative ideas and advanced consciousness live and thrive. I understand that real estate is the biggest investment most people will ever make, and that there is a right way to do it. My husband, Ross, and I have bought and sold 6 homes and 3 farms as well as have ongoing investment properties where we make excellent returns. As part of our non-profit community service, we helped buy and renovate 2805 Broadway in Boulder into a multi-use conference facility, the Integral Center. We have also built a retreat center and done land reclamation work. Ross is an attorney, arbitrator and mediator with substantial experience in contract negation and real estate law, and I’m happy to have his expertise to draw on.
Boulder is a great place to raise kids. I have raised 3 children with Ross and we enjoy many adventures together: hiking, yoga, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife watching, and traveling.
